Performance Bio

Constanza (also known as Stanzy) grew up in Santa Cruz, CA. In 2000 at 13 years old, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford. Ms. Roeder completed two and-a-half years of chemotherapy and has, thankfully, been cancer free ever since. After graduating from Bethany University with her degree in Vocal Performance, Ms. Roeder moved to San Antonio, TX where she now lives with her husband, Jeff, of 7 years. Ms. Roeder has performed around the country with various performing groups including professional Musical Theatre, Opera, Choral, and Jazz groups. She has performed such roles as Laurey in Oklahoma!, Cosette in Les Miserables, Clara in Light in the Piazza, Rosa Bud in Drood, and Maggie in A Chorus Line. But, Ms. Roeder’s favorite place to perform music is on the Oncology ward at local hospitals. She teaches private voice lessons at a local high school as well as at her home studio. “I am honored to have the opportunity to share my story through music. What a blessing it is to connect with other survivors and offer hope and encouragement to those still in the battlefield.”
